RIP Starboard Kitty

Starboard Kitty, 1996-2011

 
Last Saturday we had to say goodbye to our 15 year old cat, Starboard Kitty.  He was very healthy and active up until almost the last year of his life.  Then he started sleeping more and had trouble keeping his food down.  We took him to see the vet and he was diagnosed with kidney failure.  We started him on IV fluids which helped him for awhile and he stabilized.  Lately, he started getting sick again and going down hill and losing more weight.  He seemed like he was uncomfortable and in pain, so we called the vet and asked that she see him as soon as possible.  She saw him the same day and agreed that we did all we could for him. 

Until we meet again, Starboard Kitty.  You are greatly missed by your family, and we will be with  you again at Rainbow Bridge.
