Science Center and the Butterfly House

Yesterday we met up with two of my husband's brothers and their wives in Seattle at the care center where their mother is staying.  After a nice visit with her, we left for the Science Center.  There was a train show exhibit that the guys wanted to see, so us girls decided to hang out at the Butterfly House.  Wow, what an amazing place!  It is bright, and over 80 degrees F inside.  Lots of tropical plants and all kinds of butterflies!  You are encouraged to leave your coat behind and watch where you walk and move slowly so as not to accidentally step on or damage a butterfly.

As we left, we were checked for butterflies trying to hitch a ride out of the butterfly house.  All clear, so out we went.  How fun!  All the butterflies, tropical plants, and warmth made me so ready for spring!  :)

  2. That must have been so much fun, and so nice to be in such a warm, green, and summery place in the dead of winter. Glad you got to go, and thanks for sharing it with us!
