Mama and the seven dwarfs, er, I mean kittens!

Last Friday we got a call from the humane society that there was a litter of one day old kittens and their mother who needed a temporary home until they were big enough to be adopted, and were we interested.  Of course!  We quickly left to pick them up.  This is our first litter of newborn kittens and it is very exciting!  Their eyes are still closed and their ears are still closed but should open after about a week or so.  We have the easy part, we just take care of mama and she takes care of the babies.  Their mama is taking very good care of them.  She is giving them round the clock care, as evidenced by the yawns she gives us.  :-)  It is very cute to see her settle into the bed with them and take her front arm and pull them all towards her.  Awww...  :-)
