While fostering Mama and her baby kittens, the kittens are still totally dependent on their mother and we just had to take care of Mama and keep an eye on everyone.  She was a wonderful mother to them so our job was pretty easy.   We would have them for about two and a half months before the kittens were big enough to be adopted.

I had stopped into the shelter to check in and they had several more baby kittens come in that day that needed foster homes because they were too young to adopt out. All but one kitten got a foster home before they were all full, and they were trying to figure out where she could go.    Since our workload with Mama and kittens was pretty light right then, we created another space for her and brought her home!  She's a cute little medium haired kitten.  I'm a little nervous because Dave likes her so much he named her. We never name them! She's really fun though, and gets along well with the dogs too! We'll see... ;-)
